Valentine’s Day Food Ideas

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue,
I've Nothing to Say,
But I love You :)
Happy Valentine’s Day pals! How are you doing? Here I have s’more Valentine’s day ideas for food.
Heart Shape Cutlets(Vegetable/Fish Cutlets) - Fish cutlets are my favorite. Minced fish with garlic, ginger, green chillies and spices of your choice is a great combo. For my vegan friends, vegetable and corn cutlets is a great option. I love pairing cutlet with my favorite Cheese and beer dip. Cutlets with wine is a great combo. You can either deep-fry or simply bake this recipe, if you are a fitness freak. Another method is, shallow fry the fish and then bake it such that the inner portion is fully cooked. Enjoy the hearty treat.
Heart Shape Pizza (Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza) - Enjoy the hot cheese, fresh from oven pizza in juz 15 minutes. What can be a better quick and easy treat than this? All you needa do is spread pizza sauce on pizza crust. Top it with pepperoni, seasoning and Mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. If you are crazy about pepperoni, don’t hesitate adding more, as I do. Bake the classic crust for 15 minutes. Don't forget to use pizza base with heart shape.
Mini Heart Pies (Cottage Cheese and Ricotta Cheese Pies) - I have something for my vegetarian pals also. A heart shape cookie cutter makes great mini pies. You just need to roll the dough, cut heart shapes, add in the stuffing of stir-fried spinach, with spices of your choice and ricotta cheese. Incase if you are vegan, add tofu instead of cheese or simply vegan cheese. These can be prepared in advance. You just need to make it more crispy before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dip/sauce.
Happy Valentines Day!

Spicy mayo and honey cream form a great topping. To it add diced ham and roasted veggies. Just bake the bread for 2 minutes before adding the topping. Get an eye-catching and sumptuous party appetizer.
Snowy Deer Muffins (Chocolate/Vanilla Muffins) - Any party is incomplete without desserts, isn’t it? Make the muffins of your choice. They can be simple, raisins or berry muffins. The game here is only the way you present it. Prefer a smooth base and spread chocolate evenly. You can also add vanilla cookie on the top, as shown. Add pretzel to make horns of the deer. Decorate eyes with berries/small candies. Enjoy the cute treat with lots of goodies within.
X-Mas Tree pizza (Mini Veggie Pizza) - Prepare the pizza base beforehand. You can make variant of shape using special baking cutters eg. Christmas tree or Star-shape. Ah! kids are gonna love it. Just bake with your favorite cheese and veggies. The taste will be doubles seeing these mini cheesy pizza bites. Even a novice cook can master the art of preparing pizza. Italian Food Specialty
Pizza and pasta comes to our mind when we think or talk about Italian cuisine. Nevertheless Margherita pizza, pesto, pasta and couscous (with added chorizo) are the centre of attraction for a majority of people on Bestival. Kids enjoy tomato and cheese focaccia and buttery crumpets.
American Cuisine Specialty

When you talk about fast, processed or junk food, American food comes first to our mind. Authentic food from US consists of different type of burgers with yummy relishes. Some delectable burgers include Triple Smoke Burger, Tapenade-Filled Burger, Turkey Cheddar Burger, Portobello Buffalo Burgers with Celery Apple Slaw, Chipotle Pork Cheeseburgers etc. Relishes include artichoke relish, jalapeno pepper relish, hot pepper relish, chow-chow relish etc. Apart from this, potatoes with melted Swiss cheese, topped with peppers and gherkins, hash browns, varieties of French fries and seafood recipes attracts crowd the most.
Desserts and Drinks
Any festival is incomplete without the sweet treat, desserts and drinks. People relish authentic chocolate cake and boozy carrot cake. Variety of cream tea and creamy-frothy coffees also form a major part of merry making for the tea and coffee lovers. Cocktails and mocktails keep up the spirit of the festival.

This recipe is a bit time consuming but a very small sacrifice to see a smile on you love’s face. This is rich lasagna entree with its layers of rosemary-roasted mushrooms, nutty fontina cheese plus sweet Parmesan cream sauce. For garnishing, saute some sliced mushrooms in butter with a pinch of rosemary leaves and scatter over the top of the lasagna. Tempting!!!
Meaty Fun

Chicken Nuggets
Ready made chicken nuggets are available in the market, especially the one with heart shape. It’s a good idea to serve on auspicious occasion of Valentine’s day. Just deep fry them for real quick finger food and spend some quality time with your date.

Minced-Lamb Meatloaf
Lamb meat is very tender. Adding some mint and garlic, ginger flavor would enhance the taste. Minced meat loaf can be pre-prepared, we can bake the batches in advance. We just require warming them up during our date and spend maximum time with our soul-mate.

Pan-Fried Beef Steak
Cooking steak on the grill and pan frying it are similar. Both use dry heat technology, which creates a delicious brown crust on the surface of the meat, and intensifies its flavor through the process of evaporation. When you pan fry steak, there are three ways to season it. These are you can rub spices on it, marinate it in curd, or make a sauce, plum sauce or strawberry or any of your choice and add onto it.
Some Salad, Some Soup

Beeting Hearts Salad
Adorable and tasty heart shaped beet with goat cheese, chive mousse, greens will make a real hearty salad for your love and make your heartbeat ask for more of it. Hearty, healthy and definitely enticing...

Heart Beet Soup
With added creaminess and a lovely presentation, you can swirl this vibrantly colored beet soup with sour cream. Even without the additional decoration, the bright and vibrant color of this soup will make the candle light dinner, show-stopper.

Hearty Croutons Soup
This soup can be made in advance, then reheated and garnished. The rich, creamy broccoli soup can be served with heart shape croutons to keep up the flavor of the day.

Roasted Shrimp and Tomato with greens
We can roast, clean shrimp or prawns, as per choice. Use two shrimps at a time with a piece of tomato in between as shown in the image. Squeeze fresh lemon over it with seasoned salt and pepper. Serve with greens. Enjoy!

Smoked Salmon and Crispy Potato with Sour Cream
Salmon can be smoked with spices and lemon. Potatoes can be partially fried. Both can be baked. We can mash and use them both for baking. We can dice the two and bake them as well. Smoked Salmon and Crispy Potato with Sour Cream is the perfect combo to be served as heavy evening snacks.

Heart-shape Tuna Pie
Tuna can be baked or par boiled and then encased in special pastry of heart shapes and then warmed. This can be served with wine, making a heavy snacks for your Valentine to enrich the taste of the date.
